Literature Review
November 6, 2009
For my literature review, I have chosen the article “Hunt for Black Friday Deals from Your iPhone” written by Barb Dybwad 4th of November 2009.
Black Friday is a term, use in United States, for a mass Christmas shopping on Friday after Thanksgiving.
This article is about surfing through shops and sales just by using the iPhone. The iPhone consist an application that shows users advertisements, both public and private.
According to the article, users are allowed to see details or even make purchases and they can even save their shopping list.
This application is convenient and user-friendly as users do not need to go down to the shopping malls or squeeze through huge crowds to get items for Christmas and other celebrations.
From this article, it can be seen that handphones are used for almost everything now. Handphones are capable for taking photos or videos, listening to music, surfing the net, checking information and even sending messages.
In the beginning, handphones were only able to receive and dial calls. In 1991, where SMS (Short Message Service) started. The multimedia content, ringtones, internet, GPS, Bluetooth and others was then added.
As time pass, handphones have evolved to a stage where everything that’s needed can be found within it causing people are over reliant on the handphone.
